TechCrunch shared their predictions for what will happen in the Voice Tech space for the rest of 2020. As usual, they provide some very interesting insights that should at least give you pause

Their main insights include:

→ Niche assistants such as Aider that provide back-office support.

→ Branded in-house assistants such as those offered by BBC and Snapchat.

→ White-label solutions such as Houndify that provide lots of capabilities and configurable tool sets.

TechCrunch: Voice Tech in 2020

Personally we see a lot of opportunity with brands coming up with in-house assistants as they max out the capabilities with skills and routines within the main voice platforms. We predict more tech brands embedding voice assistant capabilities within their gear. This should only accelerate under the current environment as consumers try to get more out of their tech while they stay at home. Well, we can only hope this is the result.
